Lauren Chmelka - Personal Chef at Big City Chefs

Lauren Chmelka, an accomplished, dedicated chef with more than 10 years of experience preparing Mediterranean cuisine, excels at cultivating and maintaining lenient relationships while representing the establishments she works for. Moreover, Lauren Chmelka has developed various food production skills throughout her career, as well as service orientation, personal service, and sales and marketing skills.

Since 2011, Lauren Chmelka has worked as a personal chef through Big City Chefs in Phoenix. She plans menus and cooks meals in line with client needs, which includes shopping for ingredients and thoroughly cleaning the kitchen after each meal.

Before joining Big City Chefs, Ms. Chmelka spent more than four years as a private chef in Chicago. Between 2008 and 2010, she served as an executive chef at The Joynt, a position that involved monitoring sanitation processes, ensuring the quality of both raw and cooked food products, assessing supplies and equipment, and managing the kitchen’s budget. She also recruited and hired the staff and developed specialized menus based on client requests. She studied journalism at The Ohio State University, followed by a culinary program at the Kendall College Culinary School.
